Initially, while there were mixed reports pertaining to the last week release 'The 7th Day' starring Prithviraj in lead roles, the film has managed to reach a decent graph. The film critics initially felt that the first hour of this film, where the coflicts get too late to be established, the speed reaced the good scales by second half.
The film is a mystery thriller set in the backdrops of Christmas eve and is a drama of the lives of certain youngsters in a group taking turn when they come across a middle-aged desolated cop (Prithviraj). The film has made a good show in neighbouring states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu as well.. It is noteworthy that Prithviraj has a good fan following base in Tamil Nadu and the presence of Janani Iyer is an additional attraction as her recent release 'Thegidi' with Ashok Selvan has seen favourable results in box office.
