The Dolphins' springs to life towards the end.
Some films which ply on familiar territories for most parts giving a foreboding that, it is all set to reach a particular end, spring a surprise by becoming a wholly different entity from what the viewers expected. 'The Dolphins' is one such film, which all along gave the impression that it is an out and out mass fun film. It is not that it is not a fun film or is devoid of hair raising heroism, but the basic element in the movie is something else. And how much the makers have managed to put across what they intended is the moot question.
