The practice of the team commenced two days back and the team will play their first game at Hyderabad against Bengal Tigers. Kochi, which is the home ground of the team is not in the fixture this season. Superstar Mohanlal will continue to be the mentor and non playing captain of the team and Asif Ali will head the team. The Selection was purely on merit Basis.
