Aashiq Abu blasts media who dragged him and others into the drug peddling issue

Noted young filmmaker Aashiq Abu has come down heavily against a leading daily and its journalist who allegedly dragged his name along with that of actors Rima Kallingal and Fahad Fazil in the drug peddling issue related to young actor Shine Tom Chacko. Aashiq minces no words in his strongly worded Facebook post against malicious propaganda in the name of journalism. Titled 'Mindiyal Maoism mindiyillenkil Cocaine' Aashiq says that lives of film personalities are raw materials for those journos who celebrate their rise and fall with little remorse .

Specifically pointing out the news that spread regarding notices issued to him, Rima and Fahad by the investigation team,Aashiqsays that their over enthusiasm for a terrific climax didn't materialize after the news proved a hoax. Aashiq further says that this same writer cooked up the espionage case against Nambi Narayanan which resulted in untold suffering for him and that he would take legal action against the writer and the publication. Aashiq also added that Shine Tom continues to be colleague even if he is legally convicted. He sums up saying that he is ready to face any targeting political or otherwise.
