One held on charge of illegal uploading of Malayalam Movies

The State Anti-Piracy Cell charged one man on charges of piracy right after film director and producer Sreekumaran Thampi filed a complaint regarding his films were being illegally uploaded and screened on the Internet. According to a report from Superintendent Anti-Piracy Cell, B. Varghese, the offender, Shibu Jacob of Muvattupuzha, was arrested and Over 1,000 pirated CDs of Malayalam movies were seized from him.  The complaint filed by Mr. Thampi last week, saying that many of his films, including classics like Chattambi Kalyani , were being uploaded and screened on various websites.
